Maine or Bust - Lewistown, Montana

Since leaving Maine we have been driving late each day to make our next stop. For the trip from Chicago to Seattle we had one extra day to help take the pressure off and we used part of it to drive to Lewistown, MT and meet Ron and Sam Ruward, full-timers who are members of the RV Forum that Jeff participates in.

Ron and Sam have owned a home in Lewistown for years since they were there working on the Minuteman system for Boeing. They kept the house and rent it but have two RV pads that they keep an open invitation to the RV Forum to use for a visit during the summer months while they are in Montana.

We arrived early Friday afternoon and had a delightful time hearing the insights of a couple who have lived in their RV full time for eight years. We sat around and talked, went out for dinner and drove around the beautiful countryside counting over 200 hundred deer that were eating in farmers’ yards and fields. Fascinating drive but real pests to the locals!

We leave this AM for Spokane and should arrive in Arlington early Sunday afternoon.
