Over the over two years that we have updated this blog the frequency had varied from weekly normally to daily while on our adventures to Mexico and Alaska. It has now been over seven weeks since our last post that can be attributed to burn out from keeping up the trip to Alaska.
To summarize the past seven weeks we spent extra time in our old stomping grounds in Arlington visiting friends and then stopped to see Sue's brother and sister-in law on the Columbia River on our way to the FMCA International Rally in Redmond Oregon seeing old friends . While at Redmond we looked at new motorhomes but came back to our earlier decision to keep the Tradewinds for awhile and upgrade its cosmetics.
We had to leave Redmond on Thursday afternoon for a rapid trip back to Illinois where we have spent the past five weeks resolving a family matter. Jami was in Chicago for a couple of days and we have spent a great deal of time with our daughter Laurie and granddaughters Payton (4) & Ella (2) including a few days at the Yogi Bear Campground west of Chicago and several days of babysitting.
Sue is now in Hawaii helping our daughter Jami by babysitting granddaughters Emily (3) and Kate (5 mos) while our son-in-law Dan is in Germany on business. Jeff and the Tradewinds are in Bremen Indiana at Mike's Custom Painting having the motorhome painted with a three color full-body paint scheme.
