Back to Arizona

After Thanksgiving with Jeff's folks and his cousin Colleen we spent a few days wrapping things up in Florida and headed for Mesa. Since we both have new cameras here are lots of photos of our separate trips.

Sue's trip included a trip by air to Chicago for a few days with Payton and Ella (and their folks) in the middle of a blizzard while Jeff took the low route across I-10 for 2400 miles. Sue arrived at the kids in time to be shut in for a day but Payton didn't seem to mind as she helped her dad shovel out.

In the meantime Jeff arrived at RVing friends Jim and Tarry Johnson's who live just outside Dothan Alabama. Jim is a retired air traffic controller who was assigned to Dothan so they kept their home there and built storage for their RV. They were leaving on a bike ride for Tots for Kids in this photo the morning Jeff left for Texas.

Next stop west was in Houston to see Ron and Sam Ruward whom we have visited in Montana the past two summers. Ron helped Jeff repair our Internet satellite receiver and took Jeff to Frye's Electronics to check out the latest gadgets. Here is a photo with Jeff's new camera of Ron setting up his new camera to take a timed shot of the three of us. (This falls under "The older the boys...............")

After leaving Houston and a quick overnight in San Antonio including dinner with Jeff's predecessor at Twin Commander Bob and Jacquie Hurley I-10 beckoned for the long trip across West Texas . Here is all you see for several hundred miles!

In the meantime Gramma Sue is taking this shot!

That was Sue's first Christmas, the second will be next week when we fly to Honolulu for two weeks with Jami, Dan and Emily. We will be back to Arizona on the 27th of December when Jeff has to have minor knee surgery to repair a torn Meniscus.
