We spent a week in the Savannah area playing tourist and doing touristy things like having lunch at Paula Deen's restaurant, The Lady and Sons. When Jeff found out you sign up at 11:00 for a 1:30PM lunch he wasn't sure it was worth it but as usual he was wrong!
As Savannah has a very active restoration of its historic district we spent a good part of the day riding a trolley system that tours old Savannah where you can jump on and off. The city was laid out in 24 squares of which 21 are still in existence. It is without a doubt a fascinating look at the early South.
After leaving the Georgia lowlands we headed for Orlando to spend a few days with old friends and high school classmates of Jeff, Ed and Cheryl Rein. We had fun again reminiscing and attending a weekend car rally of street cars dating back to the 30's.
We have reservations for the month of November in Arcadia Florida near Jeff's folks and after leaving Orlando headed for Live Oaks RV.
