We have spent the past five days parked at Sue's niece Wendy (and Tom) Buffington's in Hartland, MN, just outside Albert Lea in South Central Minnesota. Tom, his father Bob, and I spent Father's Day on the local golf course and then joined everyone for steaks to finish off the day-great weekend! We stop here east and west bound because they have a long driveway with water and electricity conveniently located for the motorhome.
Wednesday afternoon we left Sioux Falls around 2:00PM and are camped along the west banks of the Missouri, across the river from Chamberlain, SD Where Lewis & Clark set up camp both westbound and on their return trip through the Dakotas. The river is quite wide and serene here so it is a great place for a campground. Dinner tonight was buffalo burgers at the Oasis Saloon to keep in character.
Tomorrow we drive over to The Badlands national park where we will spend a day and a half or so before heading for the Black Hills area for several days. This retirement can be very busy!
