The Next Step: Our New Arizona Room at Happy Trails

After four and a half years of storing our "couldn't throw-a-ways" and sleeping in the Tradewinds year round we are starting construction on our lot in Happy Trails. When we are finished later this summer we will have a place to spend the winter months with the m/h parked a few feet away waiting for the next adventure. By the time we move in we will have spent 5 years full timing and will still spend six months or more on the road each year.We spent most of the past three months deciding on a floor plan, getting approval from our homeowners association, and finally waiting for the building permit from the City of Surprise which was issued a week ago. We have moved down the street to a friend's lot during construction until we leave for southern Utah at the end of April.Last Monday Young Construction started removing the doors, windows, siding, and interior of our casita in preparation for the replacement of the concrete for the new building. Some of the cabinets and lighting will be used in Sue's sewing room and for outside lighting.

Friday the concrete subcontractor showed up and started removing the old patio floor.
