Super Bowl 41: There is always next year.

Here's the Happy Trails gang watching the last few loooong minutes of the Super Bowl as the Bears go down in ugly defeat! We started the afternoon outside enjoying low 70's weather but by the 4th quarter it had cooled off enough to move inside. As you can see 7 people are a large party in a motorhome!

We had a great afternoon and really enjoyed the first 14 seconds of the game. Our guests all have roots in the Midwest, the Reiters and DeBlicks from Wisconsin and Russ Mahoney from Iowa so we had fun cheering them on.

This will be our last week here in Surprise getting ready for our departure for Presidio, TX southeast of El Paso to meet up with the caravan group going to Mexico for six weeks. Yesterday we visited Sue's nephew Stephen who is stationed at Luke AFB and lives in Buckeye southwest of here. Stephen and his wife Peggy just built a new home we got to see for the first time.

We are going to move over to Mesa Thursday afternoon to have another awning installed and to see our SIL Roger's folks who are spending the winter in the Southwest in their 5th wheel trailer. Mesa is also where Sue's sister Pat and her family live so we will also have a chance to say goodbye to them.

One more busy week and we are on the road again.
