If you wonder why we spend so much time in the Plainfield Illinois area here are two of the best examples we know. Payton and Ella are our daughter Laurie's children and live in the Chicago suburbs.
The best part of this visit was the arrival of granddaughter number two. Emily is our oldest daughter Jami's daughter and she and her parents stopped in Illinois on their way from Hawaii to Europe. Her parents met at school at Purdue and Saturday we took them, Payton and Emmy to the Purdue/Miami of Ohio football game in Lafayette.
This month is also a busy birthday period for our family so we celebrated Laurie's, Emily's, and Payton's birthday while we were all together. A big cake, lots of candles, and another excuse for Grandma Sue to shop for her kids!
Jeff had a new awning installed while we were here but has to have parts replaced when we get to South Carolina. We will be making several stops in Ohio, Kentucky, North and South Carolina, Georgia, and north Florida on our way to southwest Florida to see Jeff's folks over Thanksgiving.
