The weather had been beautiful here and we are taking the opportunity to clean up and rest up before heading east to Chicago to see our family. The trip out west was one of the more trying of our travels when a minor mechanical issue was the first incident of the day. A few hours later as we climbed up out of the Columbia River gorge strong winds blew our awning out of its sleeve and it ended up being torn and has to be replaced. Jeff has wanted an electric unit since buying the motorhome so a new automatic is ordered and will be installed in Chicago.
We will spend a couple of weeks in Chicago with both of our daughters and their families before heading south and east for the rest of the year. Grandma Sue will have all three granddaughters to entertain for awhile before Jami, Dan, and Emily leave for Europe on vacation.
