Maine or Bust - Chicago

It is a warm day (88) and forecast to get warmer in Illinois (95-98) this weekend. Now Sue is remembering why we discussed not moving back here.

It has been a busy five days since leaving Washington. Two and a half days of hard driving took us to Hartland, MN (Albert Lea if you've never heard of Hartland) where Sue's niece Wendy and her husband Tom have a great 7 acre farmette with pull-through parking next to electricity and water. They are the proud parents of 10 month old Hunter who entertained us for a day.

Yesterday we drove down to Chicago to our daughter Laurie's home for our granddaughter Payton fix. Actually this is the first of two visits with them as they and our oldest daughter Jami and Dan and their 11 month old daughter Emmy from Hawaii will be joining us in Maine for the Cousins family reunion.

We have had a great time seeing Laurie and Roger's beautiful new home in Plainfield Illinois. (For you RVers on a 5 ton limit street and restricted to no overnight parking. Fortunately there is a WalMart nearby).

Tommorrow we are taking Payton and heading to our old stomping grounds in Central Illinois for Sue's family reunion this weekend.

Sunday we leave for Vermont to pick up Jeff's folks and head to Scarborough Maine for the Cousins clan's gathering and lot's of lobster!
